I’ve grown to rely on the netbook for whenever I need to do homework as it has the latest Word, Powerpoint etc (something that my laptop doesnt have). Also, it allowed me to have the ability to use a computer whenever I needed it, without having to battle with mum for use of the laptop. It was good to use it in lessons when we did, because it was an easy way to research things and we didn’t have to wait for a time when the computer room was free. Overall, I think the test went very well, from my point of view anyway, and netbooks would be really useful to year 10s and 11s.

But now I’m going to spend some quality time with my netbook before I have to say goodbye…

Right. The netbooks are useful, really useful, but slowly our use of them in lessons has died a painful death. I can’t remember the last time we used our netbook in a lesson?

However, I am finding my netbook very useful homework-wise, even though the netbook and my printer aren’t talking to each other. Also, my netbook is very useful to keep up with my social life (by that I mean facebook and tumblr)

I have noticed that the casing on the netbook has been coming loose, as quite a few screws have fallen out. This seems to be the same on everyone’s netbooks. Also the little paddy thing underneath on one side has fallen off. Apart from that, I haven’t noticed any problems.

And as I have nothing else to say, I’ll say au revoir (that’s french).

I found the netbooks really useful in EH when we were writing stories about the Titanic because my story turned out to be three pages long and I know that if I’d done it on paper it would’ve taken me a lot longer and would’ve given me hand cramp!!!

I would say the netbooks have made the most difference in EH because that is the lesson when we use them most. We have used them in EH to do things from making a movie about the Industrial Revolution to writing a letter from the trenches in WWI. It is a lot easier and quicker to do pieces of work on the netbook and it’s easier for us to access any unfinished work at home to complete it.

I think it has helped us become more independent because we have to remember to take in our netbooks every day and it has made us think for ourselves.

I haven’t really had any problem with my netbook apart from the fact that a couple of months ago when I didn’t have wireless internet, for some reason the netbook wouldn’t respond to my internet dongle. Also somewhere along the line a screw fell out of my netbook but that wasn’t too drastic.

I use my netbook at home for homework and facebook. It is really useful in the evenings to sit with my tiny netbook instead of a huge laptop to do my homework.

Anyway I need to get on with my work so toodle pip.

The hype over our netbooks seems to have died down. We don’t use them at registration or lunchtime anymore unless we have last minute homework due in the next session or we’re really bored. Also it seems that most people only use them at home for going on facebook.

Still, I’m not complaining. I use my netbook for homework still because it has the most up to date versions of word, publisher etc. unlike my laptop and I also use it for facebook, youtube and other things to bide my time.

Anyway that was a catch up. I’m now going to use my netbook for my art homework so ttfn.

I know one thing though – when december does come it will go very sllloooowwwwllllyyy because I’m a five-year-old kid at heart who counts the hours till christmas!
