Review of our netbooks

We’ve used our netbooks  in a couple of lessons and it’s really made a difference. We have used them quite regularly in EH for writing up pieces of work in neat; doing starters; researching things to produce powerpoints etc.; accessing the EH folder for work. We have also used them a few times in science which has helped especially when we were doing a case study – the netbook helped to make accurate graphs and made it easier for us to get rid of mistakes to make sure our case study was correct. Also, we’ve used them a couple of times in tutorial and once in PE.

I found the netbooks really useful in EH when we were writing stories about the Titanic because my story turned out to be three pages long and I know that if I’d done it on paper it would’ve taken me a lot longer and would’ve given me hand cramp!!!

I would say the netbooks have made the most difference in EH because that is the lesson when we use them most. We have used them in EH to do things from making a movie about the Industrial Revolution to writing a letter from the trenches in WWI. It is a lot easier and quicker to do pieces of work on the netbook and it’s easier for us to access any unfinished work at home to complete it.

I think it has helped us become more independent because we have to remember to take in our netbooks every day and it has made us think for ourselves.

I haven’t really had any problem with my netbook apart from the fact that a couple of months ago when I didn’t have wireless internet, for some reason the netbook wouldn’t respond to my internet dongle. Also somewhere along the line a screw fell out of my netbook but that wasn’t too drastic.

I use my netbook at home for homework and facebook. It is really useful in the evenings to sit with my tiny netbook instead of a huge laptop to do my homework.
